Point of View

description

Hey everyone!

In this blog post I am going to talk about the point of view in the book. As mentioned in the previous posts, the book “Will Grayson Will Grayson” is written by two authors and they are writing about one character each, both named Will Grayson. This story is told in first person, but we have two tellings about the same story, from two different perspectives.

“When I was little, my dad used to tell me, “Will, you can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friends nose”. This seemed like a reasonably astute observation to me when I was eight, but it turns out to be incorrect on a few levels. To begin with, you cannot possibly pick your friends, or else I never would ended up with Tiny Cooper” – Will Grayson, chapter one

Will Grayson and will grayson both get to tell their story in every other chapter with their own perspective/point of view. It is good to see these two stories told by our two beloved Will Graysons cross paths. Then we can get to peek into their electrifying and thrilling lives from the outside.

“i do not say ‘good-bye’. i believe that’s one of the bullshittiest words ever invented. it’s not like you’re given the choice to say ‘bad-bye’ or ‘awful-bye’ or ‘couldn’t-care-less-about-you-bye’. every time you leave, it’s supposed to be a good one. well, i don’t believe in that. i believe against that.” – will grayson, chapter two

Now I am looking forward to read the rest of the book and I will let you all know if it happens something juicy and exciting!!:))

I will be back soon! See you later
